Is Abeka difficult?
It’s very rigorous and a lot of time spent in front of a video! So many worksheets and tons of repetitive stuff. My daughter struggled in the very advanced preschool program and I regret ever using abeka with her since she has struggled in reading and it was way too much for her.

Do we get to keep the DVDs? Since the DVDs are leased (unconditional property of Abeka Academy), you’ll need to return them. All the other materials are yours to keep.

Does Abeka use Common Core? The Abeka Homeschool Curriculum does not follow Common Core Standards. In many cases, the curriculum actually teaches concepts earlier than they occur in the Common Core Standards.

Abeka is a great program. Of course there will be those who have negative comments bit in reality there will never be a perfect curriculum. So that said, Abeka for kids does have a lot of work but you can also tweek it. I use the video streaming classes of Arithmetic and Language.
