What company makes GreenWorks?
The people behind the Greenworks brand are Globe Group. We are a young company and are frontrunners in a world that leaves fossil fuels and electric cords behind. Are all GreenWorks 80 volt batteries interchangeable?
A: Yes they are interchangeable. With the exception of the 80V Chainsaw, the optimal weight distribution requires use of either our 2.0Ah or 2.5Ah batteries.
Are GreenWorks 60v and 80V batteries interchangeable?
No, GreenWorks manufactures a range of different voltage platforms, 24v, 40v, 60v and 80v, each of these voltage platforms have their own set of interchangeable tools and batteries but they are not interchangeable across different voltage platforms.

Battery Voltage
The higher the voltage, typically, the more cells that are in the battery pack. So when comparing a 40V pack to a 20V pack, in most cases the 40V pack will have more cells which means more power capacity available.

How long does it take to charge 80V Greenworks battery?
It is recommended to fully charge before first use to ensure that maximum run time can be achieved. This lithium-ion battery will not develop a memory and may be charged at any time. A fully discharged battery pack will require approximately 30 minutes to fully charge from a discharged state.
Can you use an 80V battery in a 60v tool?
No. You have to have the 80 volt.
Can I use a 60v battery in a 40v tool?
Answer: No! The 40v Max battery is much bigger than even the newer 60v Flex Max. I bought this tool because another answer below said that it would work with the 20/60.
Does a higher Ah battery give more power?
In general, higher amp hours mean more runtime and higher voltage means more power.
Is Greenworks better than EGO?
Both are efficient and easy to use. No major difference here except Greenworks is harder to carry to storage and Ego does not have a brushless motor so the battery dies faster. Having brushless motors, Greenworks mowers will heat up less and function more efficiently. Both are easy to start.
