When was Revere Ware discontinued?

Revere Ware discontinued selling spare parts in 1989. In 2018, the Revere Ware brand was purchased by Corelle Inc, along with all the other brands owned by World Kitchen, LLC, like Pyrex and Corning. They promptly shut down the brand and erased any traces of it from their website.

Is Revere good cookware?

Revere was once a good product, but what we have here is not the same stuff. The copper on the bottom is too thin to make any difference other than ornamental. Therefore the pans have all of the heating qualities of stainless steel. They conduct heat poorly.

Stainless steel Revere Ware work on any type of glass-top stove, including induction stoves. Most copper-clad cookware with stainless stainless steel interiors do so as well, but aluminum cookware will not work on induction stoves.

Can I put Revere Ware in the oven?

We don’t recommend using any cookware with Bakelite parts in the oven. While Revere did initially claim that their cookware was oven safe to a temperature of 350 F, in later years they revised their recommendation to not use Bakelite parts in the oven.

How do you clean a burnt Revere Ware pan?

If you’ve burned something on the inside of the pan, here is what to do: Fill the pot or pan with some water and then add a generous amount of automatic dishwasher detergent, and some vinegar. Bring it to a boil, and let it boil for a while, perhaps 15 minutes to a half of an hour.
